Martin Payne decided to have a go at making a Berge Panther conversion, here's what he did...

"I decided to adapt my current Panther to be a battle tank first and a Berge Panther second, this way I was getting 2 tanks in one. Also I liked the idea of being the only person in the club (to my knowledge!!) to have one.

Here are the pictures so far…
 

These pictures are of the main working platform, the bottom section is made from point 9 tinned plate... ...The top sections are made from brass section and brass channel folder by my dad on his fly press... ...This will house a working winch.
The next three pictures are of the top section and sides of the working platform...

 

 
...also a picture of the latches we are using on the sides. This is the roller assembly for paying out the towing cable...
...at the rear of the Berge Panther chassis mocked up in cardboard.
The next four pictures are of the dozer blade... ...also mocked up in cardboard...
...for trial fitting... ...to the Panther chassis.
The next three pictures show its first trial fitting on the panther, along with figure to size.
