If you've never experienced the War and
Peace Show held at Beltring in Kent, UK before you really should! As you can see
from the aerial photo taken of the 2002 show it is absolutely ENORMOUS! It is
the biggest show in the world of it's type by far attracting people and vehicles
from all over the world. Last year there were 9000 people permanently on site as
exhibitors and stall holders, and on the Saturday this year something in the
order of 90,000 visitors! This all adds up to a fantastic show. A visiting
colleague asked me at what time the activities stop to which I replied 'They
don't!' There always something going on from star shells, parachute flares and
small arms fire all night to the obvious during the day! Not to mention the
three beer tents and numerous food sellers. We're all looking forward to next
year!
